The aroma when bread is taken out of the oven is incredible and so is the crust!

Noodles with Sauce

"Twisted" pasta with tomato sauce and vegetables.

Chinese Pork Balls

These pork balls are just a riot of textures with Cloud Ear Mushrooms, Shiitake Mushrooms, Garlic...so, so good.

Liver Dumpling Soup

This is my favorite soup. It is quite a bit of work but it is so worth it. I usually do about 10 portions at the time and freeze it.

Pho with Beef

In Vietnamese restaurant this would be a tiny bowl of Pho, they are usually about 3 to 4 times larger. Also, I used whet noodles rather than rice noodles.

Blood Sausage with Sauerkraut

Blood Sausage, Sauerkraut and Potatoes = comfort food.

Eggplant and Chicken

Japanese Eggplants are long and cylindrical in shape which suits them well for stir frying. Also, they have almost no seeds and bitterness associated with regular Eggplants.

Teriyaki Salmon

Salmon fillet with crispy skin and Teriyaki Sauce, served with rice and green beans.

Chicken Soup - Chinese

Very filling chicken soup with Chinese noodles, bok choy and chunks of chicken.

Paprika Chicken

Fall-off-the-bone chicken thighs with sour cream sauce is not a light fare but is super delicious. Based on Hungarian classic.

Pan-Fried Pork Chop

Thick pork chop, pan-fried golden brown and served with caramelized red onions and mashed potatoes.

Duck Breast

Roasted Duck Breast served with side of Bread Dumplings and Red Cabbage. Awesome!

Spaghettini with Shrimp

Simple and fast to make meal: Saluted mushrooms and shrimps, cream sauce and Spaghettini.

Egg Drop Chicken Soup

I love the light texture of Egg Drop Chicken Soup. I have added fresh Enoki mushrooms for more and different texture.

Tuesday, March 27, 2018

Frittata

This is a true comfort food: sliced boiled potatoes, caramelized onions, eggs and topped with cheese.

Sunday, March 25, 2018

Chicken Wings

For this version I used Chinese Sauce similar to Char Siu that is used for roasted pork.

Pizza

I make only one kind of pizza: thin and crispy crust and vegetarian. The toppings are always the same as well. Red Pepper, Zucchini, Red or White Onions and mushrooms.

Beef Ball Soup

This is a substantial soup that makes nice lunch. I used Chinese wheat noodles, Bok Choy and Beef Balls.

Spinach Lasagna

This Spinach Lasagna has same filling and sauce as Cannelloni but is not as tedious to make and pasta is more substantial.

Potstickers

Obviously, we like Potstickers. This time served with Green Beans and Red Pepper.

Monday, March 19, 2018

Stir-fried Pork

Stir-fried pork tenderloin with Red Pepper, Shiitake Mushrooms, Baby Bok Choy, Green Scallions and Peanuts.

Sunday, March 18, 2018

Pork Schnitzel

This time I used Pork Tenderloin slices for Schnitzel; super tender and very quick to cook.

Friday, March 16, 2018

Spaghettini with Salmon

For this meal I use Salmon Portion that is just right for two meals. Sauce is 1/2 a cup of White Wine reduced to teaspoon and 1/3 cup of heavy Cream. Thinly sliced Cremini mushrooms would make this even better.

Pork with Noodles and Mushrooms

Very fast meal. I used Pork Tenderloin, Cremini Mushrooms, White Wine and 35% Cream.

Eggdrop Soup

This is such a delicate and easy to make soup. Toasted Sesame Oil gives it a nice Oriental touch.

Saturday, March 3, 2018

Potstickers

Potstickers have same pork mixture as Wontons and Pearl Balls, are covered in same skin as Wontons but are folded differently and are fried crisp on one side and then steamed in same frying pan.

Scrambled Eggs

For Scrambled Eggs I like to start with lightly caramelizing green onions in lot of butter and beat the eggs just to combine the yolk with whites. Remove to plate when all the whites are almost set.

Steamed Pearl Balls

Pearls balls are just like Won Tons where soaked glutinous rice replaces Wonton skins and are steamed rather than boiled.

Thursday, March 1, 2018

Won Tons with Sauce

Love this snack! I usually make enough Won Tons to fill a baking sheet for the freezer so when I feel for some Won Tons I just take few and drop them frozen into soup or just plain water.
